Parking Facilities

We offer parking spaces, including one reserved for people with a disability, in the private car park adjacent to the surgery building.

At Valley Surgery please do not use the car spaces reserved for the residents of Sandby Court opposite us and avoid parking in front of the main entrance unless you are disabled or dropping off passengers.

We cannot be responsible for the loss or damage to any vehicles or belongings left in either surgery car park.

Access For Patients with a disability

The practice premises have suitable access for patients with a disability. Patient services are provided at ground floor level. If you believe there is anything more we can do to help patients with a disability please speak to the Practice Manager. Please find more accessibility information here on the AccessAble website.

Do you require information in alternative formats e.g. large print?

The Accessible Information Standard requires GP practices to ask patients if they have any information or communication needs and find out how to support them. If you or any relative who is a patient who you support needs assistance with communication due to any physical disabilities such as visual, hearing or speech problems or because of having an intellectual disability please let us know how best we can help. With their permission we have a duty to share the information and communication needs with other providers of NHS and adult social care.

Our aim is to ensure that people receive information which they can access and understand, for example: in large print, braille or via email, and to receive communication support if they need it.

Interpreting service

If English is not your first language we prefer to book a telephone interpreting service rather than patients having to rely on a relative interpreting. It would be very helpful to know this and which language is required when the appointment is booked so that we can ensure that the consultation has the extra time needed for this to happen.

Any patient can have a relative present in their consultation if they so wish for support.
