UK Biobank

We have opted in to the UK Biobank. The UK Biobank is a national health research study set up with the aim of improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of serious and life-threatening illnesses. The study requires data relating to specific patients who have given informed consent for their medical records to be used for this health research. The primary care data extract for UK Biobank has been reviewed, and is supported, by the Royal College of General Practitioners, the joint RGCP / BMA GP IT Committee, and NHS Digital.
